Thank you to all our customers who requested litter-picking kits and got involved in this year’s Great British Spring Clean. Keep Britain Tidy successfully hit its target of engaging over half a million volunteers¹. This resulted in the collection of almost a million bags of rubbish and recycling, a third more than 2018².
Following the dispatch of more than 450 requested litter picking kits to our customers we’re thrilled to have enabled around 2100 litter picking hours³ which will have gone some way to helping Keep Britain Tidy achieving it’s 2019 Great British Spring Clean goal.
At Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP), we hosted 28 clean up events across Britain with over 300 of our employees taking part. This resulted in the collection of 517 bags of litter and recycling.
Aman Uppal, One Stop Mount Nod, Coventry said, "As a retailer and member of the Mount Nod community I felt it was very important to take part in the Great British Spring Clean and organise a clean-up of the local fields and stream. It was great to see a wide range of ages of participants from 4 years old right up to 75 years old. Feedback from those who participated was so positive we are now considering organising another clean up during the summer."
AND THE WINNER IS...
Thanks to everyone who got back in touch and told us about your events. We are pleased to reveal that Laura Cole from the Eight Bells Pub in St Neots has won the prize draw and has decided to split the £1,000 donation between two good causes that will be chosen by their customers. Laura Cole and her customers successfully collected 45 bags of litter and recycling, helping to make a difference to their local area.
Thank you again to everyone who got involved and don’t forget to keep using your litter picking kits!
